Mine looks just like Brock's only it just has one set of timer/dimmer switches. My blankets are also wired directly into the switches, so I don't have the outlets to plug into.

I must have seen the same one as Brock, and I can't remember who to give credit too either. Whoever you are, thanks!

Hi all,

something else that works wonderfuly but no one ever mentions, probably because I am the only guy using one, is a Variac (or autotransformer). I got mine at a local electronics surplus place for about 50 bucks - its a 10A 110V model, so its can control over 1000 watts. I use a 550 watt blanket. But I also use it to control the element in my bending pipe. Its a 750 watt 220V element. But at 220V its way to hot, and scorches everything. So I run it on about 150 volts using the variac (For those who dont get it, a variac is like a volume control for voltage, but depending on the design, they go WAY past 11 !! - mine can deliver 0 to 170 volts from a 110 volt outlet). And for all you Eddie VH fans, you can also use it to lower the voltage on your tube amp to about 93 like Eddie did - the Brown sound rules.
